Introduction
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the Commute Survey (the “Survey”) and the associated prize draw (the “Competition”) organized by rather.chat (the “Organizer”).
Eligibility
You are eligible to participate in the Survey and Competition if you:
- Are a resident of South Africa.
- Are 18 years of age or older.
- Regularly travel into Cape Town from either the Southern Suburbs or Somerset West in the Western Cape.
- Complete the Commute Survey in full during the Competition Period.
Competition Period
The Competition runs from 12 February 2025 to 7 March 2025 (the “Competition Period”).
How to Enter
To enter the Competition:
- Complete the Commute Survey in full.
- Submit your completed survey in WhatsApp during the Competition Period.
- Each submission grants one entry into the prize draw.
- You can earn an additional entry each time you share the survey with others.
Entry Limitations
- You may enter the Competition multiple times by sharing the survey; each share earns an additional entry.
- The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility criteria or attempts to manipulate the entry process.
Prizes
- There will be three winners selected during the Competition Period.
- Each winner will receive a R1000 meal voucher for lunch in Cape Town CBD.
- Prize draws will take place on 21 February, 28 February, and 7 March 2025.
- Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash or any other goods or services.
Winner Selection and Announcement
- Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received by each draw date.
- Winners will be announced within one week of each draw date.
- Winners will be notified via the contact details provided in their survey submission.
Prize Claiming
- Winners will receive instructions on how to claim their prizes upon notification.
- Winners must claim their prizes within 30 days of notification.
- If a prize is not claimed within 30 days, the Organizer reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Publicity and Data Protection
- By entering the Competition, you agree that your personal information may be used for the purposes of administering the Survey and Competition.
- Winners may be required to participate in reasonable publicity related to the Competition.
- All personal information will be handled in accordance with [Organizer Name]’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
General Terms
- The Organizer’s decision regarding all matters relating to the Competition will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Terms or terminate the Competition at any time without prior notice.
- The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any third party brand unless explicitly stated.
- By participating in the Survey and Competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Liability
- The Organizer and its associated companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury, or death which is suffered or sustained in connection with the Survey, Competition, or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
